We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Isolo, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are looking for a diligent and analytical Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support the finance team in delivering timely and reliable financial reporting.
• The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a financial services environment, a strong grasp of accounting principles, and is comfortable working with accounting software and regulatory reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data and variance analysis.
• Ensure timely remittance of statutory obligations — PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, and NSITF contributions.
• Liaise with auditors during internal and external audit exercises and provide all required documentation.
• Monitor cash flow, flag discrepancies, and escalate financial risks to the Finance Manager.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial transactions and supporting documents.
• Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory bodies as required (FIRS, CAC, etc.).
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

Requirements

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 2 – 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within a financial services or fintech company.
• Part qualification with ICAN, ACCA, or CITN is required or in view.
• Solid understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or any ERP platform.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills — pivot tables, financial modelling, and data reconciliation.
• High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong analytical mindset.
• Must reside in or within easy commuting distance of Ikeja, Lagos.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
