Job Title: Business Growth Executive (Field)
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
We're looking for energetic, ambitious, and results-driven professionals who are passionate about meeting business owners, solving problems, and driving business growth.
Role Summary
As a Business Growth Executive (Field), you will spend the majority of your workday in the field, meeting business owners and entrepreneurs across your assigned territory. This is not an office-based role.
Your primary responsibility is to identify prospective SME customers, educate them on Bankoto's services, build trusted relationships, and convert qualified prospects into paying customers.
You will be expected to commute daily within your assigned territory, actively engage customers face-to-face, and consistently achieve your monthly customer acquisition and revenue targets. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, working independently, and thriving in a performance-driven environment.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time field-based position.
Approximately 80–90% of your working hours will be spent outside the office, meeting customers at their business locations.
Daily commute within your assigned territory is required.
You will prospect for new customers through direct visits, referrals, networking, and community engagement.
Success in this position depends on your ability to consistently engage customers in person and achieve your monthly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and prospect new SME customers within your assigned territory.
Conduct daily field visits to business owners and decision-makers.
Present and demonstrate Bankoto's products and services.
Educate entrepreneurs on the value of Bankoto's accounting, compliance, and business support solutions.
Generate qualified leads and convert them into paying customers.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Follow up consistently to improve conversion rates.
Meet or exceed assigned monthly customer acquisition and revenue targets.
Accurately record customer interactions and sales activities using the company's CRM and reporting tools.
Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support product improvements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or HND in any discipline.
Experience:
0–2 years of experience in field sales, business development, fintech, banking, SaaS, FMCG, telecommunications, insurance, or a related industry.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships.
Self-motivated and results-oriented.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Strong planning and time management skills.
Proficient in using smartphones and digital applications.
Good knowledge of Lagos business districts is an added advantage.

This is a performance-driven role
Employees are expected to consistently achieve agreed monthly sales and customer acquisition targets. Performance is reviewed regularly, and continued employment, bonuses, and career progression are linked to meeting or exceeding these targets.
