Job Title: Laboratory Scientist (Night Shift)

Location: Mende, Maryland - Lagos

Job Description

• We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our clinical team and manage our laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory investigations across hematology, chemical pathology, microbiology, and immunology.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and precise processing of patient samples and release of test results.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Implement strict Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures to maintain high laboratory standards.
• Manage laboratory inventory, tracking reagents and supplies to prevent stockouts.
• Adhere to strict safety guidelines and infection control protocols in handling biological specimens.
• Collaborate effectively with medical doctors and nursing staff to support patient diagnosis and management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS).
• Licensing: Current, valid license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• Experience: Must have 2–3 years of post-NYSC clinical laboratory experience (experience in a busy private hospital or diagnostic center is an advantage).
• Location: Proximity to Maryland/Ikeja/Gbagada axis is highly preferred.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in operating automated laboratory analyzers and manual techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of clinical accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and make sound technical decisions.
