Description
This is a strategic leadership role for a high-performing professional with a proven track record in business growth, operational excellence, stakeholder management, and financial leadership within the telecommunications, ICT, engineering, or technology sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business profitability, expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring operational efficiency across the organization.
Develop and execute the company's strategic vision, growth agenda, and business objectives.
Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities within telecommunications, FTTH, ICT solutions, electronic security systems, and emerging technologies.
Drive business expansion, market penetration, and strategic partnership initiatives.
Provide leadership in innovation, competitive positioning, and long-term sustainability.
Commercial & Business Development:
Lead revenue generation and business growth initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, government institutions, corporate organizations, and strategic partners.
Drive customer acquisition, retention, and account growth strategies.
Negotiate and close high-value contracts, partnerships, and service agreements.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
Operational Excellence:
Provide oversight for all operational activities, ensuring efficiency, quality service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Monitor project execution, service performance, resource utilization, and operational effectiveness.
Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Champion continuous process improvement and operational optimization.
Financial Leadership:
Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes.
Monitor profitability, revenue performance, cash flow, and cost management.
Drive financial discipline and ensure optimal resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & People Management:
Build, and lead high-performing teams across Operations, Technical, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, and Administration functions.
Establish clear performance expectations and accountability frameworks.
Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
Drive talent development and succession planning initiatives.
Governance & Stakeholder Management:
Maintain strong relationships with customers, regulators, partners, shareholders, and other key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and governance requirements.
Lead risk management and business continuity initiatives.
Provide periodic business performance reports and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Requirments
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be a distinct advantage.
Professional certifications in Project Management, Business Management, Telecommunications, or related fields are desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 7–10 years' progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the ICT, telecommunications, engineering, or technology sector.
Demonstrated success in business development, revenue growth, and operational leadership.
Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, FTTH deployment, networking solutions, ICT services, and electronic security systems.
