We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient food preparation environment.
  • The successful candidate will assist with basic food preparation, cleaning duties, stock handling, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks.
  • Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
  • Receive, unpack, and store deliveries appropriately.
  • Ensure food storage areas are clean and organized.
  • Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
