Job Title: Technical Writer (Intermediate, Specialist, Consultant)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop technical documentation, user guides, and operational manuals
• Produce release notes, implementation guides, and process documentation
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to gather required information
• Ensure documentation consistency, quality, and governance compliance
• Support knowledge management and handover activities
• Maintain document repositories and version control standards
• Simplify complex technical concepts for business and operational users
• Participate in project reviews and documentation audits.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering,
• 7–15+ years of relevant professional experience depending on role level (Intermediate, Specialist, or Consultant).
• Information Systems, Design, Business, or equivalent).
• Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Must have completed NYSC
• Demonstrated experience working in enterprise scale digital, IT, or technology environments
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery (Scrum / Kanban), and cross functional collaboration
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Demonstrated experience working within enterprise digital or technology environments
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with documentation tools, collaboration platforms, and enterprise systems
• Understanding of software delivery and technical terminology
• Ability to follow documentation and governance standards
• Ability to produce technical designs, release notes, user guides, and operational documentation
• Experience working within governance frameworks and approval processes
• Strong discipline in knowledge management and documentation handover
• Ability to simplify technical concepts into user friendly documentation
• Experience collaborating with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and technical teams
• Awareness of documentation confidentiality and data protection requirements
• Understanding of documentation governance and auditability
• Ability to support multiple projects and delivery initiatives
• Ability to quickly go onboard into new business and technical domains
• Understanding of scalability, security, reliability, and performance considerations
• Ability to follow coding and documentation standards.
