Job Title: Structural Engineer

Location: Katampe District, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, inspecting, and supervising structural works to ensure safety, stability, durability, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural components and systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
• Conduct site inspections and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and standards.
• Evaluate existing structures and recommend modifications, repairs, or reinforcement where necessary.
• Collaborate with architects, quantity surveyors, project managers, and other engineering professionals on project execution.
• Review contractors' work and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support throughout the construction process.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and engineering best practices.
• Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and technical submissions.
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, and risk assessment activities.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
• Relevant professional certification and registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 4–10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering design and construction supervision.
• Proven experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrable experience using structural design and analysis software.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and professional ethics.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
• Must be proactive, innovative, and result-oriented.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Revit, Rendering,or similar applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good project management and organizational abilities.
• Sound knowledge of Nigerian building regulations and construction standards.

Salary
N250,000 per month.
