Job Summary

• The Manager, Equity & Innovation – West Africa (Equity Beverages & Biscuits CEA) will report to Marketing Lead West Africa and will lead development and execution of innovation and equity communication strategies across WA brands and CEA.
• The role drives growth and brand health targets in annual business plans through portfolio management (core, adjacencies, PPA, geo-expansion), & effective innovation ideation.
• This position owns & manages the P&Ls more than $39MM.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development of Brand Strategy.
• Cooperate and co-create with internal parties & agencies (i.e. Brand Teams, media / connections managers, digital managers, PR managers, Procurement, etc.) to provide and maintain a holistic approach brand communication effort.
• Co-lead with designated brand groups the development of Charter campaigns / projects delivering against multi-market needs.
• Identify & understand market trends.
• Lead & positively influence market and regional teams, creative and Media agencies.
• Understand & identify white spaces across portfolio to take advantage of Price pack architecture.
• Analyze & propose pricing strategies where needed to improve margins and re-invest.
• Analyze & propose portfolio improvements to increase brand efficiency.
• Understand media sufficiency across WACAM.
• Analyze & use information to identify business opportunities: Nielsen, distribution, drop size, margins, channel mix.
• Capability Building: Lead and support brand teams.
• Co-lead and plan Communications capability building programs within Marketing.
• Lead agency resource/ team performance management.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in Marketing (food consumer companies with regional experience).
• Proven experience in multifunctional leadership, branding, trade and channels knowledge.
• Experience in product launching / Innovation process from idea to execution
• Equity brand building experience and process and procedure adaptation in IMC.
• P&L management.

Salary
N45,000,000 - N46,000,000 / annum.
