About the job

• We are a leading service provider in the oil and gas, marine, and construction industry, looking for a dynamic and experienced Procurement Coordinator to lead our procurement operations and support project execution.
• This role is central to ensuring seamless and timely delivery of both routine and project-based procurement. 
• The ideal candidate must be a result-oriented professional who understands the urgency and complexities of procurement in the oil and gas space. 
• Take ownership, respond swiftly to operational needs, and have a solid track record of delivering on procurement and project goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement end-to-end procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and project requirements.
• Lead procurement planning, budgeting, and sourcing strategies to optimize value and minimize risk.
• Establish procurement policies, frameworks, and best practices across the organization.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management for procurement team members
• Oversee and approve procurement plans, purchase orders, requisitions, and tendering processes.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods, materials, and services in line with specifications.
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives, including competitive bidding and supplier consolidation
• Develop and maintain a robust supplier ecosystem with prequalified and high-performing vendors.
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service-level agreements.
• Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for value engineering without compromising quality. 
• Monitor procurement spends and implement controls to prevent budget overruns.
• Analyze market trends and pricing benchmarks to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of proven experience in procurement and/or project coordination, ideally within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and project timelines.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines without compromising quality.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in relevant procurement and project management software, tools, and applications.
