Job Title: Welder

Location: Akaka Road, Ode Remo, Ogun 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our automobile manufacturing team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, joining, and repairing metal components used in vehicle production.
• The ideal candidate must possess strong welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications to ensure high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations on vehicle frames, chassis, body structures, and other metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, Arc, and Gas Welding machines.
• Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to design requirements.
• Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct repairs and modifications on fabricated components where necessary.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality Control teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Observe workplace safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and material usage.
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC, NABTEB, Trade Test Certificate, Technical College Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Welding and Fabrication, Metalwork, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years' relevant experience as a Welder in an automobile manufacturing company, fabrication workshop, or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Arc, and Gas Welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Strong knowledge of welding safety procedures and quality standards.
• Good attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Welding certifications will be an added advantage.
