Job Summary

• We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Officer to join our automobile manufacturing team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
• The ideal candidate must possess strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, risk management, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs across the organization.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct HSE inductions, safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety practices.
• Prepare and maintain HSE records, reports, statistics, and documentation.
• Coordinate emergency response activities, drills, and evacuation exercises.
• Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement in HSE performance.
• Monitor waste management, environmental protection, and sustainability initiatives.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and support compliance inspections where required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
• 3 – 5 years' relevant experience in HSE management within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or production environment.
• Professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, ISPON, OSHA, or equivalent are required.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem - solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to workplace safety.
