• A Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning. coordination and execution of construction projects.
• They manage budgets, ensure compliance with building codes and communicate with stakeholders.
• Project Planning and Scheduling: Construction managers develop detailed project plans, outlining objectives, timelines, and key milestones.
• They coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to define work requirements and create realistic schedules often using tools like charts to track progress and adjust for delays such as weather or material shortages.
• Budgeting and Cost Management: They estimate project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment, and monitor expenditures throughout the project. Construction managers identify potential savings, adjust budgets as needed, and ensure financial control to keep projects within budget.

Requirements

• Recommended years of experience for Construction Manager typically range from 5 to 10 years with Bsc and necessary certification in the field.
