Job Title: Purchasing Officer

Location: Utako, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• Foodstuff Store Ltdis seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to manage procurement activities at Utako Market.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality goods, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase goods from Utako Market in line with company requirements
• Identify reliable vendors and build strong supplier relationships
• Negotiate prices and ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality
• Inspect purchased items to ensure they meet company standards
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
• Monitor market trends and provide insights on pricing and availability
• Ensure timely delivery of purchased items to designated locations
• Work closely with internal teams to understand procurement needs

Requirements

• Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in any relevant field
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar role
• Proximity to Utako Market is a key requirement for this role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Good knowledge of Utako Market and its vendors
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• High level of integrity and accountability
• Must reside in or around Utako, Abuja

Salary
N100,000 per month.
