We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrician

Location: Asaba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance and Repairs:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting fixtures, sockets, switches, and control panels.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out prompt corrective actions.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply to guest rooms, public areas, offices, kitchens, and other hotel facilities.

Preventive Maintenance:

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical installations and equipment.
• Maintain maintenance schedules and records for all electrical systems.
• Identify potential issues and recommend corrective measures before breakdowns occur.

Generator and Power Systems:

• Monitor and maintain generators, transformers, UPS systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Assist in the operation and testing of backup power systems.
• Ensure efficient energy usage and report abnormalities.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all electrical safety regulations, building codes, and hotel policies.
• Ensure all electrical work is carried out safely and professionally.
• Report hazardous conditions immediately and take corrective action where appropriate.

Guest and Staff Support:

• Respond promptly to guest complaints and maintenance requests related to electrical issues.
• Maintain a high standard of service and professionalism when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Support hotel events and functions by ensuring electrical requirements are properly set up and functioning.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, maintenance activities, and materials used.
• Submit reports to the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Manager as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation.
• 2 - 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, generators, HVAC controls, and building maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
