Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Summary

• A4&T Power Solutions is seeking a Chartered Accountant with strong financial modeling expertise and deep General Ledger (GL) accounting knowledge.
• The ideal candidate must possess leadership capability to manage a team and provide financial insights that drive business performance, cost optimization, and sustainable growth, with specific experience in a renewable energy company.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Financial Reporting: Oversee and manage the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconciliations: Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, receivables, payables, and inventory.
• Financial Modeling & Strategy: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Develop robust financial models for project financing, pricing strategies, and investment evaluation. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis for solar installations and capital expenditure decisions.
• Management Support: Provide strategic insights to management on profitability, cash flow, and growth opportunities. Support fundraising, investor reporting, and financial due diligence processes where required.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of three finance staff. Establish performance KPIs and ensure accountability within the finance unit.
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies. Strengthen internal controls and risk management processes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Reporting: Timely and accurate monthly financial reporting and General Ledger reconciliation.
• Forecast Accuracy: Maintain accuracy within ±5% variance between budget/forecast and actual performance.
• Cost Optimization: Identification and implementation of cost optimization initiatives achieving 5–10% annual savings.
• Compliance: Zero regulatory, tax, or audit penalties through full statutory compliance.
• Strategic Support: Development and delivery of robust financial models to support strategic and investment decisions.
• Team Management: Effective finance team leadership, including performance management and process efficiency improvement.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification: Mandatory Chartered Accountant status (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Industry Experience: Proven experience working in a renewable energy company.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.

Core Competencies:

• Proven experience managing the General Ledger and the full accounting cycle.
• Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and advanced financial analysis (NPV, IRR, DCF, scenario analysis).
• Prior experience supervising or managing a team of at least 3 staff.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and IFRS.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
