We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of User Acquisition & Growth Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Head of User Acquisition & Growth Officer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in fintech, microfinance banking, or fast-paced consumer platforms.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing user onboarding strategies, driving aggressive growth targets, ensuring operational efficiency across Gravy Eat and Gravy Mart, and delivering exceptional customer care.
  • This role is pivotal in achieving the company's ambitious 2026 growth metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement User Onboarding Initiatives: Lead the execution of all user onboarding strategies, activities, and campaigns designed to attract, register, and activate new users on the company's platforms.
  • Attain User & Vendor Onboarding Targets: Work collaboratively with the onboarding team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual user and vendor onboarding targets in line with company goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure organized, efficient, and results-oriented operations and service delivery across Gravy Eat (food delivery) and Gravy Mart (e-commerce/mart) platforms.
  • Customer Care & Issue Resolution: Ensure all customer care-related issues, including user complaints and escalations, are addressed promptly and resolved to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Drive Growth Metrics: Achieve the company's Performance Growth Metrics for 2026 and subsequent years

Focus on Key Growth Indicators: Drive performance across the following growth metrics:

  • Number of new users onboarded
  • Number of active users through daily orders/transactions
  • Number of vendor options delivering compelling services
  • Implementation of user onboarding initiatives, including event activation targets
  • Execute Onboarding Activities: Implement all scheduled user onboarding activities across Lagos for the business year, ensuring seamless execution and maximum impact.
  • Ensure Smooth Operations: Oversee smart, efficient operations across vendors, personal shoppers, users, and logistics to deliver a seamless end-to-end experience.
  • Achieve Transaction & Revenue Targets: Drive the achievement of key performance targets, including:
  • daily orders/transactions· monthly revenuevolume across Gravy Eat, Gravy Mart, etc· direct user onboardings targets
  • Strategic Planning & Reporting: Develop periodic growth strategies, monitor performance against targets, and provide regular reports to Management on user acquisition, operational efficiency, and growth metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA) is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in user acquisition, growth, or business development within a fintech, microfinance bank, or fast-paced consumer platform.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving user onboarding and achieving aggressive growth targets in a competitive market.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing operations for consumer-facing platforms (e.g., food delivery, e-commerce, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition strategies, digital marketing, and user engagement tactics.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Must be based in Lagos with the flexibility to work extended hours and travel as required to support user onboarding activities and operational needs.
