Job Summary

• To support the Chef section by preparing food for grilling, operating the grill, ensuring quality and consistency, maintaining high hygiene standards, and assisting the team to deliver excellent meals options (meats, chicken, fish, vegetables) that meet Korede Spaghetti's standards in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

• Grilling & Cooking: Grill chicken, Shawarma beef, fish, and vegetables to perfection, controlling heat, monitoring cooking times, and ensuring consistent taste and texture.
• Help prepare food by washing, cutting, and cooking ingredients. Follow recipes and portion sizes correctly, and support the kitchen team by watching cooking times, temperatures, and food quality.
• Keep your work area clean and tidy, and make sure all ingredients and tools you need are ready for use.
• Learn the full menu and understand what ingredients each dish uses and how each dish is prepared.
• Communicate clearly with the head chef, kitchen staff, and servers so that food comes out smoothly and on time.
• Help train new kitchen staff by showing them how to do tasks at your station and sharing useful tips.
• Handle problems that come up during service and make quick decisions to keep food quality high and service moving.
• Wash, sanitise, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to keep the kitchen clean and organised.
• Help check ingredient and supply levels, and inform the inventory manager when something is running low.
• Do any other tasks given by management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen assistant or similar role is an advantage
• Experience: Prior experience in a kitchen or grilling role is advantageous.
• Skills: Good heat control, timing, knife skills, multitasking, and ability to follow recipes
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene
• Ability to follow instructions and support the chef/cook in daily tasks
• Strong sense of cleanliness and organisation
• Team-oriented and hardworking attitude.

Working Hours:

• Gbagada: 8am to 8pm (5 days on 1 days), Monday to Sunday
• Surulere, 8 am to 10 pm Monday to Saturday (Sunday is a fix day off)
• Yaba: Shift, 8am to 4:30pm, 1:30pm to 10pm (5 days on 2 days off) Monday to Sunday.

Salary
N70,000 monthly.
