We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Manager

Location: Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading sales activities, developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth within Kaduna and surrounding markets.
  • The role requires a target-driven professional with strong leadership, market development, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
  • The ideal candidates must understand the Kaduna business environment, be able to build a strong sales pipeline, lead sales executives where applicable, and convert prospects into paying customers.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Business Development:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets in Kaduna and nearby markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities across corporate, commercial, retail, institutional, and government-related sectors.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activities, pricing trends, and business opportunities.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and business presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms in line with company policies.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and repeat business.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Follow up with leads, prospects, and clients to ensure timely conversion and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle client complaints, service issues, and after-sales support in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Maintain regular communication with key customers and strategic partners.
  • Represent the company professionally at meetings, trade events, exhibitions, and business forums.

Team Leadership and Performance Management:

  • Lead, supervise, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed targets.
  • Set clear sales targets and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and performance check-ins.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of sales team members where required.
  • Promote a performance-driven and customer-focused sales culture.

Reporting and Administration:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
  • Track sales activities, revenue performance, customer feedback, and market insights.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, clients, proposals, contracts, and sales activities.
  • Use CRM tools, Excel, or other reporting systems to monitor sales progress.
  • Ensure compliance with company sales policies, pricing guidelines, and approval processes.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Monthly and quarterly sales target achievement.
  • Revenue growth and profitability.
  • Number of new customers acquired.
  • Sales pipeline value and conversion rate.
  • Customer retention and repeat business.
  • Team performance and productivity.
  • Quality and timeliness of sales reports.
  • Market expansion within Kaduna and surrounding regions.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Sales, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in sales, business development, or commercial management.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing a sales team is an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of the Kaduna market and Northern Nigeria business environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and convert leads into revenue.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using CRM tools is an added advantage.
  • Must be resident in Kaduna or willing to relocate.

Compensation
Competitive salary (N150,000 - N200,000 monthly) with performance-based incentives and applicable benefits.
