May Publishing Limited is seeking a strategic, commercially minded, and relationship-driven Strategic Partnership Manager to lead the development of high-value partnerships that support the growth of our publishing, media, and legacy documentation services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with corporate organisations, professional associations, government institutions, family offices, foundations, media organisations, educational institutions, and high-net-worth individuals.
The role requires a strong ability to build trust, create opportunities, negotiate partnerships, and generate sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnerships & Business Development:
Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships that enhance the visibility, reach, and revenue of May Publishing.
Build relationships with corporate organisations, institutions, professional bodies, foundations, and key stakeholders.
Develop partnership proposals, sponsorship packages, and collaboration frameworks.
Negotiate mutually beneficial agreements and ensure successful implementation.
Identify opportunities for biography, autobiography, memoir, corporate history, and institutional history projects.
Establish referral networks and strategic alliances that generate qualified leads.
Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary liaison between May Publishing and external partners.
Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and stakeholders.
Represent the organisation at conferences, business forums, networking events, exhibitions, and industry gatherings.
Coordinate regular engagement activities to strengthen partner relationships.
Revenue Generation & Growth:
Contribute directly to organisational revenue targets through partnership acquisition and business development activities.
Develop and execute partnership growth strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
Identify sponsorship opportunities for May Publishing.
Support client acquisition efforts through strategic introductions and relationship-building activities.
Research & Market Intelligence:
Monitor industry trends, stakeholder activities, and emerging partnership opportunities.
Conduct research on prospective partners and maintain a strategic partnership database.
Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number of new strategic partnerships secured.
Value of business opportunities generated through partnerships.
Number of qualified client referrals generated monthly.
Sponsorship and partnership revenue secured.
Stakeholder engagement and retention rate.
Contribution to overall organisational growth targets.
Requirements
A Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences, Humanities, or related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in business development, partnerships, relationship management, sales, marketing, or a related role.
Proven track record of building strategic relationships and generating business opportunities.
Strong negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
Very Good written and verbal communication abilities.
Strong presentation and proposal-development skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
Additional Requirement:
Applicants must be between 35 and 45 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within publishing, media, consulting, communications, education, or professional services.
Existing network within corporate, government, academic, or professional circles.
Experience developing sponsorships, strategic alliances, or institutional partnerships.
Familiarity with CRM systems and business development processes.
