Job Title: Site Nurse

Location: Jos, Plateau

Job Summary

• We are looking for a Site Nurse who will be responsible for providing first-line medical care, emergency response, and occupational health support to employees at the mining site.
• The role operates on a shift basis to ensure continuous medical coverage and timely response to workplace injuries, illnesses, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical treatment to employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Assess and manage work-related injuries and illnesses within the scope of professional nursing practice.
• Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals or evacuation to designated hospitals when necessary.
• Monitor employees exposed to occupational hazards and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by authorized medical practitioners.
• Promote healthy lifestyle practices among employees.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly clinic activity reports.
• Document workplace injuries, incidents, treatments, and referrals.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines and medical supplies.
• Coordinate with external healthcare providers, hospitals, and emergency services as required.
• Handover critical information to incoming shift personnel to ensure continuity of care.

Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license.
• Bachelor's Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational health, industrial, mining, manufacturing, oil & gas, or remote site environments.
• Experience in emergency response and occupational health management is preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational health and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage medical situations effectively.
