Job Title: Security Supervisor
Location: No1 Akaka Road, Ode Remo - Ogun

Reports To: Chief Security Officer (CSO) / Security Manager
Job Summary
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, ensuring effective access control, monitoring bag scanning machines, supervising security guards, enforcing security policies, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for personnel, visitors, and company assets.
Supervise and coordinate all security guards on assigned shifts.
Ensure guards are properly deployed to designated posts and perform their duties effectively.
Conduct regular
patrols and inspections of security posts and facilities.
Monitor security activities and ensure compliance with company security procedures.
Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to security personnel.
Monitoring of Bag Scanning Machine:
Monitor the operation of bag scanning machines and other screening equipment.
Ensure all personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles comply with screening procedures.
Verify that prohibited or unauthorized items are detected and appropriately handled.
Report any malfunction or technical issue affecting the scanning equipment.
Maintain records of security screening activities and incidents.
Access Control Management:
Enforce access control procedures at all entry and exit points.
Verify identification cards, visitor passes, and authorization documents.
Control the movement of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
Ensure only authorized personnel gain access to restricted areas.
Maintain accurate records of visitor and contractor entries and exits.
Incident Response and Reporting:
Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and breaches.
Conduct preliminary investigations into security-related incidents.
Prepare detailed incident and occurrence reports.
Escalate significant security issues to the CSO or Security Manager.
Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
Support safety and emergency response programs.
Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain daily security occurrence books and shift reports.
Keep records of access control activities, visitor logs, and incident reports.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security performance reports.
Ensure all security documentation is accurate and properly filed.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Effective supervision of security guards.
Compliance with access control procedures.
Proper operation and monitoring of bag scanning machines.
Reduction in security breaches and unauthorized access incidents.
Timely and accurate incident reporting.
Quality of guard deployment, discipline, and performance management.
The Security Supervisor is expected to maintain a high level of vigilance, professionalism, and leadership to ensure the protection of company personnel, assets, information, and facilities at all times.
Qualifications
Minimum of OND / HND / Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in security operations, law enforcement, military, or industrial security.
3–5 years security experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
