About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, result-oriented, and highly connected Marketing Officer to drive customer acquisition and portfolio growth within the Paramilitary and State Civil Service sectors.
The ideal candidate must possess an existing network and customer base among personnel of paramilitary agencies and state government employees, with a proven ability to generate, convert, and manage quality loan leads.
This role is primarily focused on lead generation, customer acquisition, relationship management, and loan portfolio development.
Target Market
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and managing loan opportunities from:
Police Personnel
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
Nigeria Correctional Service
Nigeria Immigration Service
Nigeria Customs Service
Lagos State Civil Servants
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition:
Generate qualified loan leads from the targeted paramilitary and state civil service sectors.
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective borrowers.
Conduct field and virtual marketing campaigns to acquire new customers.
Leverage personal networks, referrals, and strategic relationships to drive business growth.
Identify payroll-based loan opportunities within government institutions and paramilitary organizations.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the loan lifecycle.
Conduct regular customer follow-ups to improve conversion and retention rates.
Ensure excellent customer experience and timely resolution of inquiries.
Portfolio Development:
Achieve assigned monthly and annual loan disbursement targets.
Grow and manage a healthy loan portfolio within the designated market segments.
Monitor customer repayment performance and maintain portfolio quality.
Collaborate with the credit and operations teams to facilitate smooth loan processing and disbursement.
Market Intelligence:
Gather and report market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
Recommend strategies for expanding the institution's presence within the target sectors.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number of qualified leads generated monthly.
Number of new customers onboarded.
Monthly loan disbursement volume.
Portfolio growth rate.
Lead-to-customer conversion ratio.
Customer retention rate.
Achievement of monthly and annual business targets.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Banking and Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in marketing, sales, business development, or financial services.
Experience in microfinance, consumer lending, fintech, cooperative, or commercial banking will be an added advantage.
Must have an existing network and customer base within the paramilitary and state civil service sectors.
Demonstrated ability to generate and convert quality loan leads.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools.
