Abia State University, Uturu, as a foremost state University in Nigeria founded in 1981, has maintained its leadership within and beyond the Eastern heartlands of Nigeria. Job Title: Director of Physical Planning

Location: Uturu, Abia

Person & Responsibility

• The Director, Physical Planning is the head of the Physical Planning Unit of the University, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the coordination and supervision of the physical infrastructural development of the University, ensuring that all such development projects conform strictly with the specifications of the institutions master plan.

Requirements
The Candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A good Honours Degree / HND in Architecture / Engineering (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical)
• Must be a registered and current member of relevant professional bodies:
  • Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA)
  • Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) and or
  • Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN)
  • Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
• A higher Degree in Engineering and a Fellowship of any of the above listed professional bodies will be an added advantage.
• The candidate should be ICT literate and not more than sixty (60) years.

Experience:

• Candidate must have at least ten (10) years post graduation experience.

Salary / Conditions of Service

• The salary is as applicable to similar positions in Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined by the Council of Abia State University from time to time.
• The appointment will be for one term of five (5) years only.
