We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Nigeria

About the Role

• We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of our systems.
• You will work closely with software and infrastructure teams to automate operations, strengthen observability, improve deployment safety, and reduce the frequency and impact of incidents.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure.
• Build and improve infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor system availability, performance, capacity, and security.
• Implement effective logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and prevent recurrence.
• Improve system resilience, backup, and disaster-recovery processes.
• Manage containerized workloads and orchestration platforms.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and reduce manual intervention.
• Support engineering teams with deployments and production troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and incident procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation where required.

Requirements

• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or systems administration.
• Strong understanding of Linux, networking, and distributed systems.
• Experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Ability to automate tasks using a language such as Python, Go, Bash, or Rust.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating production systems at scale.
• Familiarity with service-level indicators, objectives, and error budgets.
• Experience with incident management and post-incident reviews.
• Knowledge of database reliability, security, or performance optimization.

• Success will be measured by improved service availability, faster incident recovery, safer deployments, stronger operational visibility, and reduced manual operational work.
