Hotel Accountant at Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited

Established in 2009, Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is a hospitality consultancy firm specializing in providing expert services to small and medium-sized hotels.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hotel Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
• Record daily financial transactions.
• Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Ensure proper documentation of all financial activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Prepare:
  • Profit and Loss Statement
  • Statement of Financial Position (Balance Sheet)
  • Cash Flow Statement
  • Trial Balance
  • General Ledger Reports
• Present financial reports to management.
• Process supplier invoices.
• Verify purchase orders and payment vouchers.
• Reconcile supplier accounts.
• Ensure timely payment to vendors.
• Prepare customer invoices.
• Monitor outstanding receivables.
• Follow up on overdue payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts.
• Prepare daily cash reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Monitor petty cash transactions.
• Ensure proper cash handling procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking and Finance, Business Administration (with Accounting specialization)

Professional Qualifications (Preferred):

• Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
• Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN)
• Professional certification is an added advantage and may be required for senior accounting positions.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, depending on the level of the role.
• Experience using accounting software and preparing financial reports.
• Experience in budgeting, payroll, tax compliance, and financial analysis is desirable.

Salary
N150,000 monthly.
