We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Platform Engineer

Location: Nigeria

About the Role

• We are looking for a Platform Engineer with experience in Rust and Node.js to build and maintain the services, tooling, and infrastructure that support our applications and engineering teams.
• You will develop platform services, improve deployment and development workflows, automate infrastructure operations, and help ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and scalable.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain platform services, APIs, and internal tools using Rust and Node.js.
• Use the appropriate technology for each workload, including Rust for performance-sensitive components and Node.js for APIs, integrations, and service development.
• Design reliable integrations between applications, infrastructure, databases, and external services.
• Manage and improve cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and routine operational processes.
• Improve system observability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Investigate production incidents and implement long-term fixes.
• Improve developer tooling, environments, and deployment workflows.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Success in the Role

• Success means delivering reliable platform services, improving developer productivity, reducing manual operational work, and enabling engineering teams to deploy and operate software safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience with both Rust and Node.js.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, systems software, or developer tooling.
• Strong understanding of Linux, networking, databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building internal developer platforms or cloud services.
• Experience operating production systems at scale.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, message queues, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with service security, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and modern Node.js frameworks.
