We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Accounts & Administration

Vacancy Code: NNY119
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Work Structure: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Reports To: CEO

Role Summary

  • Our client is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Head of Accounts & Administration to oversee the full finance function and administrative operations of the organization.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strict regulatory compliance, and efficient office administration.
  • This role requires a self-driven professional capable of working independently, maintaining error-free financial records, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full financial accounting, reporting, and general ledger management
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow operations
  • Ensure compliance with all tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external stakeholders (auditors, banks, regulators)
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights to management
  • Supervise administrative operations and ensure office efficiency
  • Manage payroll processes, employee records, and statutory remittances
  • Maintain strong internal controls, accurate records, and audit readiness at all times

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Financial Accuracy & Reporting:

  • 100% accuracy in financial statements
  • Timely submission of monthly financial reports
  • Zero material audit adjustments

Compliance & Tax:

  • 100% on-time statutory filings (VAT, PAYE, WHT, etc.)
  • Zero regulatory penalties or fines

Record Keeping & Systems:

  • Up-to-date, audit-ready financial records at all times
  • Proper documentation for all transactions
  • Zero missing or incomplete financial records

Administration Efficiency:

  • Smooth and efficient office operations
  • Accurate and up-to-date employee records
  • Timely processing of pensions and insurance.

Key Requirements

  • ICAN qualification (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations
  • 5–8 years relevant post-qualification experience
  • Prior experience in FMCG or a similar industry is an advantage
  • Strong background in internal controls and audit
  • Proven experience managing full finance operations independently
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Salary
N550,000 – N650,000 monthly.
