We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Backend Software Developer

Location: Lagos (Remote) - Onsite collaboration required when requested

Description

• We're preparing for a simultaneous soft launch in Lagos and the DMV — and we need a backend developer who can help us get there.

The Role

• This is a hands-on backend engineering role working directly alongside our Senior Developer as we push to production. You'll own backend and integration work across a live microservices architecture — not a greenfield project, not a planning exercise.
• The code is there, the platform is real, and the launch is imminent. This is not a role for someone who needs direction on every task. You write code, you ship, you communicate blockers, and you deliver.

Responsibilities

• Backend & API development across our microservices architecture
• Payment integration work — Stripe (USD) and Flutterwave (NGN)
• Mobile app stability support — iOS & Android (React Native)
• Bug fixes and pre-launch technical blockers
• AWS infrastructure support alongside our DevOps engineer
• Weekly progress reporting to Technical Lead

Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional software development experience
• Strong Node.js or Python backend skills
• RESTful APIs and microservices architecture experience
• Familiarity with React Native or mobile development
• AWS and Git proficiency
• Lagos-based with immediate availability
• Fluent English

Strong Bonus:

• Stripe and/or Flutterwave integration experience
• Food delivery or marketplace platform background
• Startup or pre-launch environment experience

Remuneration

• Probation (3 months): N300,000 / Month
• Post-probation: N400,000 / Month
