Job Title: Specialist Mechanic

Location: Kazaure, Jigawa

Job Description

• We are currently seeking highly skilled Mechanical Technicians/Mechanics with proven expertise in Vögele asphalt pavers and related paving equipment to join our maintenance and operations team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Vögele asphalt pavers and associated road construction machinery;
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems;
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports;
• Ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime;
• Conduct field repairs on construction sites when required;
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field;
• Experience with other asphalt paving and road construction machinery brands;
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and electronic control systems.

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience with Vögele pavers (Wirtgen Group equipment preferred);
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronic control systems;
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals;
• Experience in heavy construction or road building equipment maintenance;
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently;
• Willingness to work in field conditions and flexible hours when necessary;
• Residence in Nigeria.
