Job Overview

• We are seeking a highly disciplined and systems-oriented Head of Supply Chain to build, standardize, and scale procurement and vendor management operations. This role is not transactional. It is structural and performance-driven.

You will be responsible for:

• Designing procurement systems that scale
• Protecting margins through disciplined vendor management
• Ensuring operational reliability through process, data, and accountability

Your mandate is clear:

• Build systems. Enforce discipline. Deliver outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Systems & Process Design:

• Design and implement structured procurement and supply chain processes
• Build repeatable workflows that eliminate inefficiencies and manual dependencies
• Ensure no recurring operational issue is solved twice

Procurement & Vendor Management:

• Lead sourcing, negotiation, and vendor selection processes
• Ensure all procurement decisions align with cost efficiency and margin protection
• Maintain ethical, transparent, and commercially sound vendor relationships

Operational Execution & Coordination:

• Oversee end-to-end procurement execution from request to delivery
• Ensure timely fulfillment of materials and services across projects
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks before they impact operations

Data, Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and transaction logs
• Develop reporting systems that track performance, costs, and efficiency
• Ensure all processes and decisions are fully documented

Governance & Compliance:

• Enforce procurement policies, controls, and approval workflows
• Ensure adherence to internal governance and regulatory requirements
• Strengthen operational discipline across all supply chain activities

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Alignment

• Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Project teams
• Provide clear, structured updates on procurement activities and risks
• Ensure alignment between procurement planning and project timelines

Success Metrics (First 6 Months)

• Fully structured and standardized procurement processes implemented
• Improved cost efficiency and margin protection across vendor engagements
• Reduction in procurement delays and operational bottlenecks
• Accurate, real-time procurement and vendor reporting systems in place
• Strong compliance with governance and documentation standards
• Measurable improvement in supply chain reliability and turnaround time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields
• 8–12+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations leadership
• Proven experience building or optimizing procurement systems and processes
• Strong negotiation and vendor management experience
• High proficiency in data management, reporting, and operational tracking tools

Salary
NGN 1,250,000 (Inclusive of HMO & Pension)
