LemFi (YC S21) is building the neobank for African diaspora in North America & Europe. We provide our users with a multi-currency account that allows them to hold, send, and receive money from Africa in any currency for their business and personal banking needs. We are a fast-paced startup with entities in the UK, USA, Canada and Nigeria and you would be required to familiarize yourself with necessary statutory and regulatory requirements in these locations.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Performance Marketing Specialist

Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Senior Performance Marketing Manager
Target Markets: Anglophone African corridors (primarily Nigeria, with reach into Kenya and Ghana)

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a hands-on Performance Marketing Specialist to own and drive user acquisition across our key African markets.
  • Sitting within our core Growth function, you will manage paid channels, turn creative insights into growth assets, and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • You won't be waiting for direction—you'll be the one telling us what needs doing next.

How You'll Contribute
Campaign Ownership and Execution:

  • Take full ownership of paid acquisition campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and other relevant channels.
  • Manage campaign planning, audience strategy, budget allocation, optimization, and scaling.
  • Identify new acquisition opportunities (channels, audiences, formats) to accelerate growth.
  • Support broader global acquisition across Google App Campaigns (UAC/GAC), Apple Search Ads (ASA), DSPs, and emerging channels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, Brand, CRM, and Creative teams.

Creative Strategy and Content Development:

  • Own the creative roadmap for your campaigns, maintaining a continuous pipeline of fresh assets.
  • Partner with in-house creative teams, regional growth members, and external creators to deliver locally relevant, culturally resonant content.
  • Develop performance-driven creative briefs for static, video, and user-generated content (UGC).
  • Repurpose existing creator and influencer content into performance assets.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable creative recommendations and iterate rapidly.

Performance Measurement and Analytics:

  • Monitor performance across paid channels and optimize toward CAC and other efficiency targets.
  • Leverage MMPs (e.g., AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch) and attribution frameworks to inform budget allocation.
  • Provide clear performance reporting and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Support broader funnel optimization across user activation and retention.

Experimentation and Growth Initiatives:

  • Build and execute structured testing plans across audiences, bidding strategies, creatives, and landing experiences.
  • Identify and validate new growth opportunities through rigorous experimentation.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, privacy changes, and emerging growth tactics.

  • Experimentation Mindset: You thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace testing, and enjoy exploring new approaches.

Requirements
Non-Negotiable:

  • 2–4 years of experience in Performance Marketing and paid acquisition.
  • Proven experience managing acquisition campaigns for a consumer mobile app, including hands-on experience with MMPs (AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Branch).
  • Strong creative strategy skills with experience developing performance-driven content.
  • Experience working across multiple international markets.
  • Highly self-directed with a strong bias toward action and execution.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in fintech, remittance, payments, banking, or other regulated consumer products.
  • Familiarity with incrementality testing, MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling), or advanced measurement frameworks.
