Caring Habitat is a 40-room purpose-built inpatient skilled nursing and rehabilitation hospital designed to complement the health outcomes of patients through the delivery robust rehabilitation program.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Janitor

Location: Abraham Adesanya, Ajah - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

• We are a rehabilitation facility in need of a Janitor.  The role is responsible for ensuring operational equipments (Generators, Lift, Power – solar and national grid, water supply, pumping machines, bio-medical machines) at Caring Habitat function optimally, safely, and efficiently. The work schedule is one week on duty( monday to sunday) one week off.

Duties and Responsibilities
Facility Upkeep & Routine Repairs

• Conduct daily inspections of the facility to identify and fix structural, plumbing, and electrical issues.
• Perform minor on-site repairs including fixing door locks, replacing lighting, repairing minor plumbing leaks, and handling basic carpentry or painting needs.
• Ensure all common areas, clinical rooms, and administrative spaces are physically well-maintained and presentable.

Power, Utilities & Critical Systems Management:

• Monitor and manage alternative power systems, including generator operations, routine servicing schedules, and diesel logistics.
• Oversee water supply systems, water treatment plants, pumping machines, and storage tanks to guarantee uninterrupted clean water.
• Regularly inspect and maintain the facility's HVAC (air conditioning) units and electrical distribution boards.
• Monitor and manage Lift system.

Equipment Coordination & Compliance:

• Maintain an up-to-date asset register of all facility and basic clinical equipment.
• Act as the primary liaison for specialized biomedical or complex medical equipment technicians during repairs.
• Ensure all fire fighting equipment, fire alarms, and emergency exits are fully functional and compliant with safety regulatory frameworks.

Vendor & Inventory Management:

• Supervise external contractors and technicians brought in for specialized major repairs or structural renovations.
• Source high-quality, cost-effective maintenance materials and spare parts.
• Keep a meticulous log of maintenance expenses, service reports, and fuel consumption patterns to assist management with budgeting.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Benefits
N100,000 Net / Month, Leave Allowance, HMO, pension, Temporary Accomodation.
