Global Linkers Limited - Our client, a CBN-licensed International Money Transfer Operator (IMTO) building payments operations function from the ground up, is recruiting to fil the position below:

Job Title: Operations Lead

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are in need of an Operations Lead who can design the processes, manage daily settlement and reconciliation, coordinate liquidity partners, and ensure every transaction moves accurately and on time. This is a hands-on, greenfield role. The candidate will build it and run it.

Respnsibiities

• Own end-to-end settlement and reconciliation across all corridors and counterparties
• Monitor and manage liquidity positions to ensure sufficient float for daily operations
• Serve as the primary operational contact for all liquidity partners and correspondent relationships
• Design and document SOPs and operational workflows where none currently exist
• Investigate and resolve transaction exceptions, failures, and disputes within SLA
• Work with the tech team to define system requirements and conduct UAT for new features
• Produce daily and weekly operational reports for the MD covering volumes, exceptions, and partner performance

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in payments operations, settlement, or transaction processing.
• Direct experience managing cross-border or remittance settlement — not just domestic transfers
• Strong reconciliation skills — you can find a discrepancy, trace it, and explain it clearly
• Proven ability to write SOPs and build operational processes from scratch, not just follow existing ones
• Experience managing multiple banking and payments counterparties simultaneously
• Familiarity with CBN reporting requirements for payment transactions
• IMTO, fintech, or cross-border payments experience is a strong advantage
• High attention to detail — in this business, errors are expensive.

Salary
N400,000 / Month.
