Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations of a leading pharmaceutical company in Calabar.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement, inventory management, demand planning, warehousing, logistics, and supplier relationship management while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support business growth.
• Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
• Oversee inventory planning and control to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stock-outs or excess inventory.
• Coordinate production planning with manufacturing teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Manage warehousing, distribution, and logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Monitor and improve supply chain performance through data analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and key stakeholders.
• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in Supply Chain Management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain operations, procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
• Experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
