The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities on-site to ensure projects are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
The role involves monitoring daily site operations, managing site resources, and ensuring work is executed efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site.
Interpret and implement approved construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
Monitor construction progress to ensure work is completed according to schedule and budget.
Ensure all works comply with approved quality standards and engineering specifications.
Inspect ongoing works and identify defects or non-conformities, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
Coordinate the activities of subcontractors, artisans, and site workers.
Ensure construction materials are used efficiently and report shortages or wastage.
Verify that materials delivered to the site meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
Conduct site measurements and verify completed work for payment and record purposes.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on-site.
Monitor the proper use and maintenance of construction tools and equipment.
Attend site meetings and provide technical support to the Project Manager.
Assist in resolving technical and construction-related challenges.
Maintain accurate site records, including work progress, inspections, material usage, and site instructions.
Ensure all construction activities comply with company policies, statutory regulations, and client requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Structural Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
3 - 5 years of relevant site engineering experience in the construction industry.
Membership or registration with relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of construction methods and engineering principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of construction quality control and assurance procedures.
Good project coordination and supervision skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

N250,000 - N600,000 monthly.
