GN128 Solutions is a growing software and digital solutions company based in Lagos, Nigeria. Over the past 18 months, we have developed custom digital platforms including CRMs, Helpdesk Systems, online ordering platforms, relationship management systems, and business automation tools using technologies such as PHP, Laravel, MySQL, HTML, and CSS.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Support Intern

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technology, solving technical problems, and supporting users while developing practical skills in modern IT infrastructure and AI-powered business solutions.
• You will work closely with the IT Team to build, maintain, and improve our applications that deliver excellent user experiences.
• As an IT Support Intern, you will receive hands-on training and work alongside experienced professionals supporting both our internal team and client environments. You will be required to work from our office from Mon -Fri.
• This is a full-time on-site role for a IT Support Inter to work from our office, the post holder will be undergo a three month Intensive training program to get up to speed working with the IT Team to develop the necessary skills required to build & support our applications.

Key Responsibilities
End User Support:

• Provide first-line technical support to staff and clients.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure and maintain desktop and laptop computers.
• Assist users with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Diagnose internet, Wi-Fi and network connectivity issues.
• Configure printers and peripheral devices.
• Install and update business software.

Microsoft WINDOWS Administration:

• Create and manage user accounts.
• Assist with password resets and account recovery.
• Configure Microsoft Outlook.
• Support Microsoft Teams and SharePoint users.
• Assist with licence assignment and user management.
• Help maintain Microsoft Windows security best practices.

Network & Infrastructure Support:

• Assist in maintaining office networks.
• Configure routers, switches and wireless access points.
• Monitor internet connectivity and network performance.
• Support CCTV, NAS and backup systems where applicable.

Website & Application Support:

• Assist with testing websites and business applications.
• Report and document software bugs.
• Perform basic website content updates.
• Assist with application deployment and maintenance.

AI & Automation Support:

• Support the implementation of AI-powered business solutions.
• Assist with workflow automation projects.
• Help test AI customer service agents.
• Learn to use automation platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate and n8n.
• Assist with API integrations and business process automation.

Documentation:

• Record technical issues and resolutions.
• Create user guides and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records.
• Document installation and configuration procedures.

General Duties

• Prepare laptops and workstations for new staff.
• Carry out routine system maintenance.
• Ensure IT equipment is organised and operational.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers where necessary.

Essential Requirements

• Basic understanding of computer hardware.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
• Good understanding of internet and networking fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:

• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
• Understanding of Microsoft Windows Administration.
• Familiarity with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID is an advantage.
• Basic HTML, CSS or JavaScript knowledge.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience assembling or upgrading computers.
• Knowledge of printers and network devices.
• Basic cybersecurity awareness.
