We are seeking a smart, confident, and commercially minded Business Development Officer to support the growth of our environmental consulting, ESG advisory, laboratory, and compliance services.
This role is ideal for a young professional who can identify opportunities, build relationships, follow up intelligently, prepare strong business documents, and help convert prospects into clients.

About the Role
The Business Development Officer will support client engagement, market research, proposal preparation, opportunity tracking, and relationship management.
The successful candidate will work closely with the management and technical teams to identify new business opportunities, respond to client needs, and position EnvironQuest for growth across industry, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, real estate, and development sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and track new business opportunities in environmental consulting, ESG, laboratory testing, compliance, and sustainability services.
Conduct market research on potential clients, projects, tenders, and industry trends.
Support preparation of proposals, expressions of interest, capability statements, presentations, and tender documents.
Follow up with prospects, clients, partners, and project leads in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain a business development pipeline and update opportunity trackers.
Support client meetings, presentations, and relationship-building activities.
Work with technical teams to understand service offerings and translate them into clear client value propositions.
Assist in developing marketing materials, company profiles, service briefs, and social media/business visibility content.
Monitor procurement portals, public notices, client websites, and industry platforms for relevant opportunities.
Support internal coordination from lead generation to proposal submission and client follow-up.
Requirements
B.Sc. or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Environmental Management, Mass Communication, or a related discipline.
0–3 years’ experience in business development, marketing, client relations, consulting, or project support.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good confidence, professionalism, and ability to engage clients respectfully.
Excellent organization, follow-up discipline, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic digital tools.
Ability to learn technical service offerings and communicate them clearly.
Interest in environmental consulting, ESG, sustainability, energy, infrastructure, or industrial services will be an advantage.
Experience with proposals, tenders, LinkedIn, Canva, CRM tools, or market research will be an added advantage.
