Description

• We are expanding our B2B banking ecosystem and looking for a Product Manager (Payments & Transactions) to build and scale the payment capabilities that power everyday banking for SME customers.
• This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who understands how payments actually work behind the scenes.
• Experience with Nigerian payment infrastructure (NIBSS Instant Payments, bank transfers, collections, virtual accounts, card processing, or agency banking) is highly preferred.
• We're looking for someone who can quickly understand the existing payments landscape, identify opportunities for improvement, and start delivering within the first 4–6 weeks.

What You'll Do

• Own the roadmap for payments and transaction processing products serving SME customers. 
• Improve the reliability, speed, and success rates of payment processing across multiple payment rails. 
• Design and optimize payment journeys for transfers, collections, bill payments, and other banking transactions. 
• Work closely with Engineering to define product requirements, write PRDs, prioritize the backlog, and drive execution. 
• Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Banking Partners to ensure smooth payment processing and regulatory compliance. 
• Improve reconciliation, settlement, transaction monitoring, and operational workflows. 
• Analyze payment performance and customer behavior to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization. 
• Drive integrations with banks, payment processors, and financial infrastructure providers. 
• Bring practical best practices from leading fintechs and digital banks operating in emerging markets. 

Requirements
What We're Looking For:

• 4+ years of Product Management experience in fintech, banking, or payments.
• Strong hands-on experience owning payment or transaction processing products. 
• Good understanding of payment rails, transaction lifecycle, reconciliation, settlement, and payment operations. 
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile product environments. 
• Ability to translate business problems into detailed product requirements and drive execution. 
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills. 
• Experience with African payment ecosystems, particularly Nigeria, is a strong advantage.
