Job Title: Carpenter

Location: Awoyaya, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• We are looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team based in Awoyaya.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality bespoke furniture, joinery, and woodwork projects from initial preparation through to final installation.
• The role requires strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver work to a high professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, and install bespoke furniture including wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, doors, and other woodwork projects.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, designs, and measurements accurately.
• Prepare materials and follow cutting lists to ensure accurate production.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials using hand tools and machinery.
• Carry out workshop production and on-site installation work.
• Ensure all completed work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
• Complete finishing tasks including sanding, fitting hardware, adjustments, and final detailing.
• Identify and resolve carpentry issues during production and installation.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Properly maintain and safely use tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Work closely with designers, project managers, and other team members to deliver projects on time.
• Support site visits and installation activities when required.

• The successful candidate will be expected to consistently produce high-quality work, minimise material waste, maintain professional standards, and contribute positively to the growth and reputation of Marsand Bespoke Limited.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, Joiner, Cabinet Maker, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials.
• Experience producing bespoke furniture and interior fittings.
• Ability to work from drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Good understanding of cutting lists and material planning.
• Skilled in using woodworking tools and machinery.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.

Working Requirements:

• Location: Awoyaya
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday/site work depending on project requirements.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
