Job Title: Cybersecurity Officer (NYSC)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity GRC Officer (NYSC) to support our Information Security team in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) activities.
• The role focuses on cybersecurity documentation, policy management, compliance monitoring, audit support, risk assessments, and ISO standards implementation while providing exposure to broader cybersecurity operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining information security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Support compliance initiatives related to ISO 27001 and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
• Maintain cybersecurity documentation, risk registers, asset registers, and compliance records.
• Support internal and external audit activities, including evidence gathering and remediation tracking.
• Assist in cybersecurity risk assessments and risk treatment processes.
• Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and management updates.
• Support security awareness and training initiatives.
• Monitor compliance with information security policies and controls.
• Assist in vendor security assessments and third-party risk reviews.
• Support vulnerability management, incident documentation, and security governance activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.Sc. / HND in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Currently serving NYSC Corps Member.
• Strong documentation, report-writing, and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance principles.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, audit processes, and information security policies is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as:
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Security Incident Management
  • Access Control & Identity Management
  • Network Security Fundamentals
  • Data Protection & Privacy
  • Security Awareness & Training
  • Risk Assessment & Risk Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

Added Advantage:

• Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or similar frameworks.
• Relevant certifications or training such as ISC2 CC, ISO 27001 Foundation, CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, or Microsoft Security Certifications.
• Experience with compliance documentation, audit support, risk registers, ticketing systems, or security tools.
