Job Title: Site Inventory Officer (Construction Projects)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

• This is a critical role for an accounting professional who understands that effective inventory management is fundamental to project success, cost control, and operational efficiency.
• If you have practical experience managing inventory on construction sites and can maintain accurate stock records while ensuring accountability for project materials, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables on site
• Receive, inspect, issue, and reconcile inventory in accordance with approved procedures
• Distinguish and properly account for consumable and reusable construction materials
• Prepare inventory reports, stock reconciliations, and material usage summaries
• Conduct periodic stock counts and investigate inventory variances
• Ensure proper documentation of all inventory movements using approved inventory control documents
• Work closely with project engineers, procurement, and finance to maintain optimal inventory levels
• Support management in minimizing material losses, wastage, and stock discrepancies

The Ideal Candidate

• B.Sc. Degree or HND in Accounting (Mandatory)
• Minimum 3 years' practical inventory management experience on Civil Engineering Construction Project Sites
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (This skill will be practically assessed)
• Strong understanding of:
  • Inventory Control Procedures
  • Stock Reconciliation
  • Inventory Documentation
• Construction Material Management
• Ability to identify and distinguish consumable and reusable materials within a construction environment
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision
• Ability to resume work immediately upon successful completion of the recruitment process

Salary
N290,000 Monthly.
