Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator

Location: Ilorin, Kwara

Description

• Packaging Machine Operator in our LVP (Large Volume Parenteral) infusion company is a highly regulated, safety-critical role.
• The operator is responsible for setting up, running, and sanitizing automated filling, sealing, and cartoning lines to package sterile intravenous fluids while strictly adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor automated LVP packaging machinery, including IV bag forming, filling, sealing, labeling, and inspection machines
• Sterility Assurance: Maintain the highest levels of hygiene and sterile environments by following GMP protocols. This includes proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strict line-clearance procedures
• Quality Inspections: Conduct routine in-process checks on IV bags for leaks, particulates, volume accuracy, and proper seal integrity
• Documentation: Record critical batch production data, including lot numbers, expiration dates, packaging counts, material waste, and machine downtime.
• Labeling & Coding: Ensure all labels and over-wraps contain accurate medical data, including product volume, barcode, batch coding, and dosage details
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance, clean and sanitize lines during product changeovers, and quickly clear routine equipment jams

Required Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of Bachelor/HND or OND in a science or mechanical/engineering field is heavily preferred
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on packaging or production experience in a highly regulated pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturing environment
• Technical & Physical: Strong mechanical aptitude, basic computer literacy, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
