Job Title: Architect

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Architect will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • The role involves preparing architectural drawings, ensuring compliance with building regulations, collaborating with engineering teams, and integrating sustainable and energy-efficient solutions, including solar energy systems where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural concepts, designs, and detailed construction drawings.
  • Prepare architectural plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and site measurements.
  • Ensure designs comply with local building regulations, safety standards, and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with structural, electrical, mechanical, and solar engineers to produce coordinated designs.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, and construction details.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to approved drawings and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage design revisions and address technical issues that arise during construction.
  • Incorporate sustainable, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly design principles into projects.
  • Prepare project reports, presentations, and design proposals for management and clients.
  • Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, construction technologies, and architectural best practices.
  • Support the business development team with technical input during client meetings and project proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
  • Registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria is an added advantage.
  • 3–5 years of relevant architectural experience (or more for senior roles).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, ArchiCAD, or other relevant architectural software.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian building regulations and construction standards.
  • Experience in site supervision and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of sustainable building design and energy-efficient construction practices.
  • Excellent project planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / month.
