We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Real Estate Sales

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Job

  • This is a hands-on sales leadership role. We are not looking for a real estate practitioner or property consultant.
  • We are looking for a driven B2B sales leader who knows how to build relationships, win new business, and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Experience selling to the real estate industry is a strong advantage.
  • However, we also welcome candidates with a strong FMCG sales leadership background, particularly those who have built and managed successful field sales teams and have a proven track record of acquiring and growing B2B clients.
  • You will not only lead, you will sell. In the early stage, you will be on the ground yourself, closing deals and building the revenue base.
  • At the same time, you will recruit, build, and develop your own high-performing sales team from scratch.
  • This is a builder's role for someone who leads by example and is not afraid to be the top performer on their own team.
  • If you have spent years closing property deals as an agent, this is probably not the role for you.
  • But if you have a track record of selling solutions to businesses, building strong commercial relationships, and creating high-performing sales teams, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Personally sell Jiji's premium listing and advertising packages to real estate agents, brokers, developers, and property management companies
  • Build and manage your own pipeline of B2B clients from prospecting to close
  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team focused exclusively on the Real Estate category
  • Set team targets, monitor performance, and coach team members to exceed expectations
  • Leverage your existing network to generate leads and open doors quickly
  • Meet and exceed personal and team monthly revenue targets
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs and position Jiji's products as the go-to solution for property visibility and lead generation
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and results, reporting weekly to management
  • Identify market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy

Desirables

  • Minimum 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling to or within the real estate sector or FMCG
  • Experience selling to business clients and building long-term commercial relationships.
  • Existing network of real estate professionals, agents, developers, and agencies in the Nigerian market is a strong advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Strong FMCG sales leadership background, particularly in building and managing high-performing field sales teams, will be highly considered.
  • Proven ability to both sell individually and build, lead, and scale a sales team.
  • Strong understanding of how the real estate industry operates in Nigeria, or the ability to quickly learn the market.
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets, personally and through a team
  • Excellent prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
  • A natural leader who leads from the front, not from behind a desk
  • Self-starter who does not wait for leads to come to them
  • Experience with digital products, classifieds, or online advertising is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven, build-from-scratch environment.
