Job Title: Head of Internal Audit

Location: Anambra

Job Summary

• As our Head of Internal Audit, you will provide high-level leadership and strategic oversight to safeguard our organization’s assets, reputation, and operational efficiency.
• We look to you to design and execute our risk-based audit strategy, evaluate internal controls, and drive corporate governance across all business units to deliver objective assurance to senior management and the Board.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based annual internal audit plan aligned with corporate objectives.
• Control Oversight: Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management frameworks, and governance processes.
• Reporting & Engagement: Prepare data-driven audit summaries and KPI analyses for senior executives and the Audit Committee.
• Leads Investigations: Spearhead independent investigations into financial irregularities, policy violations, or suspected fraud with absolute confidentiality.
• Relationship Management: Maintain strong networks with department heads and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted process advisor.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance combined with a minimum of 7 years of progressive audit experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Certifications: Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or ACA is required.
• Skills & Traits: Expert Excel and data analytics skills, uncompromising integrity, and high emotional intelligence when delivering difficult findings under pressure.
