We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Specification

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the company's business growth strategy by identifying new market opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, expanding the client portfolio, and increasing revenue within the foreign exchange (FX) trading market.
  • The role requires extensive international market knowledge, strong relationship management skills, and expertise in institutional foreign exchange products and services.
  • The expatriate is expected to transfer specialized knowledge, international best practices, and technical expertise to the Nigerian workforce while supporting the organization's expansion and competitiveness within the FX industry

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
  • Identify and secure new corporate, institutional, fintech, and high-net-worth clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, investment firms, and strategic partners.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Promote the company's FX trading products and services to local and international clients.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and partnership arrangements.
  • Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, and sales pitches.
  • Develop client acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk Management, Trading, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare periodic business development reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, International Business, Banking, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • A Master's degree (MBA, Finance, International Business, or related field) is an added advantage.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), CTP and relevant financial market certifications.
