We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Enugu

Key Responsibilties
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing
Conduct manual testing of web and mobile applications, identifying defects and documenting detailed test reports
Design and implement automated testing frameworks using Playwright or Cypress for web application testing
Develop and maintain API automation scripts using Postman for testing REST APIs and backend service integrations
Create detailed test reports documenting test execution results, coverage metrics, and identified issues
Manage test cases and defects using ClickUp, ensuring proper organization and traceability
Communicate testing progress, blockers, and results with cross-functional teams via Microsoft Teams and email
Mentor junior QA engineers, conducting code reviews of test automation code and sharing best practices
Collaborate with development teams to establish quality standards and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or technical certification in Software Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of professional QA engineering experience
Advanced expertise in manual testing methodologies (test case design, edge case identification, exploratory testing)
Strong proficiency in test automation using Playwright OR Cypress frameworks
Demonstrated experience with API testing using Postman, including request building, assertions, and test automation
Proven experience with test case management and issue tracking systems (ClickUp and/or Jira)
Experience collaborating in enterprise communication platforms (Microsoft Teams) and email in professional environments
Proficiency in creating comprehensive test reports and metrics documentation
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Technical Competencies:
Strong expertise in test case design, execution, defect identification, root cause analysis, and comprehensive test documentation.
Advanced hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Cypress for end-to-end test automation, including selectors, assertions, test debugging, and framework optimization.
Proficient in API testing, encompassing request creation, collection management, test scripting, automated assertions, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Skilled in test case management, defect tracking, issue lifecycle management, workflow configuration, and quality assurance processes.
Effective communicator with experience in status reporting, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration using Microsoft Teams and enterprise email platforms.
Expertise in developing comprehensive test execution reports, quality metrics dashboards, performance tracking, and trend analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
Additional Competencies:
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with experience writing test scripts and understanding frontend development
Working knowledge of C# and .NET backend systems for API and integration testing
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Experience with performance and load testing tools
Knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG compliance) and security testing principles ISTQB or other QA certifications
