Job Title: Territory Development Executive

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, commercially minded, and relationship-driven Territory Development Executive to help expand our retail footprint, strengthen trade partnerships, ensure excellent in-store execution and drive sustainable growth across pharmacies, beauty stores, wellness outlets, and selected general trade channels within assigned territories then scale up to environs.
This is a field-based role for a self-starter who thrives on building new business, developing strong retailer relationships, and creating marketing momentum from the ground up.
Identify, map, prioritize, recruit, and activate new retail accounts within the assigned territory.
Develop and implement territory development plans aimed at increasing outlet coverage and market penetration.
Expand the active customer base by securing new business opportunities across relevant retail channels.
Identify emerging channel opportunities and recommend growth initiatives.
Manage trade credit responsibly and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments.
Account Management:
Manage the complete account lifecycle, including prospecting, onboarding, product placement, replenishment, and account growth.
Monitor stock levels across accounts and drive timely product replenishment.
Build sustainable reorder habits among customers to ensure continuous product availability.
Strengthen account productivity through regular engagement, relationship building, and business development activities.
Resolve customer concerns and trade-related issues promptly and professionally.
Trade Execution & Visibility:
Ensure products are correctly merchandised, priced, and visible across all active retail outlets.
Execute trade marketing initiatives and deploy merchandising materials according to company standards.
Conduct product knowledge training sessions for pharmacy assistants, beauty advisors, wellness consultants, and retail staff.
Monitor compliance with execution standards and report findings regularly.
Brand Advocacy & Consumer Education:
Serve as a professional ambassador of the brand in all customers and trade interactions.
Communicate product benefits, category insights, and brand value propositions effectively to retailers and stakeholders.
Support consumer activation programs, product demonstrations, sampling activities, and awareness campaigns within key accounts.
Foster retailer confidence in the brand through continuous education and engagement.
Reporting & Market Intelligence:
Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly territory performance reports.
Maintain up-to-date records of account activity, outlet coverage, sales performance, and reorder trends.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, promotional initiatives, and distribution patterns within the territory.
Identify market opportunities, business risks, and emerging trends and communicate them promptly to management.
Provide actionable insights that support commercial decision-making and territory growth.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number of new accounts opened and activated.
Growth in active outlet coverage.
Sales and sell-through performance within the territory.
Reorder frequency and account productivity.
Product availability and distribution coverage.
Trade execution and merchandising compliance scores.
Timeliness and accuracy of reporting.
Collection and management of trade receivables.
Job Requirements
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, however, a background in health-related sciences such as pharmacy, nursing, nutrition, biological sciences, is an advantage
Experience:
A 2-4 Years of experience in field sales, account creation and managing
Practical commercial capability and field execution within consumer-centric industries
A proven record to build productive trade relationships
2-4 years of experience in Feminine hygiene, intimate care or women’s wellness, maternal care, OTC pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or consumable healthcare
Experience working with startup brands, emerging businesses or market development initiatives is an added advantage
Technical Skills:
A strong territory development and acquisition capability
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management and engagement skills
An excellent communicator with the ability to discuss intimate care and wellness products professionally and with clarity
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of retail and distribution dynamics
Excellent planning, reporting, and follow-through skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suites and commercial functions with Social Media platforms such as WhatsApp, telegrams, Meta etc.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage a growing territory with minimal supervision
Strong knowledge of the local pharmacy, beauty, wellness, and retail landscape

Salary
N300,000 per month
