Job Title: Export, Fleet & Logistics Operations Lead

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

• To provide strategic leadership and oversight of export/import logistics, fleet management, nationwide distribution, raw materials operations, and travel management, ensuring operational efficiency, cost optimization, compliance, and seamless supply chain execution across all locations.

Duties & Responsibilties
Export & Import Logistics Operations:

• Provide strategic direction for all export operations including order processing, customs clearance, documentation, and shipment tracking.
• Lead negotiations with freight forwarders and shipping agents to secure optimal rates and service levels.
• Develop and implement export strategies to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations and documentation requirements.
• Oversee international distribution and ensure timely delivery to customers.

Fleet Management:

• Provide overall leadership for fleet operations nationwide.
• Approve and enforce fleet policies, procedures, and route optimization strategies.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and fleet asset utilization.
• Approve fleet budgets and drive cost optimization initiatives.
• Review fleet performance reports and approve improvement actions.
• Ensure full regulatory, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Lead fleet/logistics teams and ensure workforce compliance and capability development.

Logistics Operations – Nationwide Distribution Management:

• Develop overall logistics strategy for nationwide distribution.
• Approve Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with third-party logistics providers.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and drive performance improvement initiatives.
• Oversee reverse logistics and end-to-end supply chain efficiency.
• Approve logistics budgets and risk management strategies.
• Evaluate financial impact of logistics initiatives and process improvements.

Local & International Travel Management:

• Approve travel policies and ensure alignment with corporate guidelines.
• Oversee cost-effective arrangements for flights, visas, accommodation, and transport.
• Ensure compliance with travel procedures and budget controls.

Raw Materials Operations:

• Provide strategic oversight of interstate and cross-border raw material movement.
• Ensure logistics alignment with production schedules to avoid downtime.
• Approve logistics partners for raw materials transportation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements in material handling

Educational Qualifications, Experience & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transportation Management, or a related field.
• Professional certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Fleet Management, or Project Management is an added advantage.
• 5 - 7 years of progressive experience in logistics, fleet management, export operations, and supply chain management.
• Proven experience managing export documentation and international shipping operations.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian and international trade regulations.
• Experience in fleet management, route optimization, and transportation planning.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
