Job Title: Refinery Chiller Operator

Job Summary
The Chiller Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the chillers used in the oil refining process.
Your role is crucial to ensuring the efficiency of the cooling systems, maintaining high-quality standards, and adhering to housekeeping, waste management, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) protocols.
Responsibilities
Chiller Operation: Operate and monitor the chiller units to maintain optimal cooling temperatures during the vegetable oil refining process. Conduct regular inspections to identify and troubleshoot issues, ensuring uninterrupted chiller operation.
Operational Excellence: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent product quality. Conduct routine checks on machinery, promptly reporting any malfunctions or abnormalities.
Quality Assurance: Monitor the chiller's performance to guarantee it meets the required standards for vegetable oil processing. Development and implementation of quality assurance measures to enhance product quality and consistency.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on chillers, including cleaning, lubricating parts, and replacing worn components. Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain product quality throughout the cooling process.
Hygiene and Housekeeping: Adhere to strict hygiene protocols and GMP guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitized working environment. Perform routine cleaning of equipment to prevent contamination and ensure product purity.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating chillers, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment.
Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Follow waste management procedures, disposing of materials responsibly and in accordance with environmental guidelines.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the chiller area, complying with GMP guidelines.

The Person
National Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in food processing or related fields are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in chiller systems, their components, and operation protocols.
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve chiller-related issues efficiently.
Keen eye for detail to monitor chiller performance and ensure quality standards.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with maintenance teams and quality control departments.
Knowledge of safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
